What Is a Battery Energy
Storage System (BESS)?

A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) stores electrical energy, generated by a solar plant or drawn from the grid during low-tariff hours, inside battery banks for use whenever you need it most. Instead of surplus solar power going unused or a home, office or factory losing power during a power cut, a BESS releases stored energy on demand, whether that is the evening, a grid outage or a high-tariff peak period.
