Can you install solar panels in your apartment?

Is any permission required to install solar panels at home?
In case the terrace of your building is a shared asset among all the flat owners, you may have to seek permission from the housing society before installing the solar panel system. You will require approval from your electricity provider and the local municipal authority to install a solar on-grid system. If you install solar panels at a 10-foot height, permission from the municipality is required.
What are suitable roof conditions?
Solar panels come with a lifespan of around 25 to 30 years. However, the solar panels’ performance also depends on the condition of the roof. If the roof is old or damaged, they may not serve their full-service life. Make sure to repair the roof before installing the system.
