The Samruddhi Mahamarg, officially the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, is a 701 km access-controlled expressway from Nagpur to Amane near Bhiwandi, built by MSRDC. The full corridor became operational on 5 June 2025 with the opening of the final Igatpuri-Amane section, and it passes through 10 districts, 26 talukas and 392 villages.
Because it is access-controlled, you reach any town along the way through its interchange and a connector road, not by driving straight through. MSRDC is developing about 20 official wayside amenity points with EV charging directly on the expressway, spaced roughly every 40 to 50 km. That covers through-traffic on the fenced corridor itself. The separate opportunity, and where MSEB Power can help, is on the connector road into each interchange town, where local hotels, dhabas and commercial properties can serve traffic entering or leaving the expressway.
Think about a family taking the Shirdi interchange for a visit to the Sai Baba temple, one of India's most visited pilgrimage sites. They are not just passing through, they are stopping for the day. If your property near that interchange offers a charging point along with food, a place to sit or a room to rest, you have given them a reason to choose your stop over the next one.
That is the actual business: EV charging plus food, rest, shopping and parking, packaged as one stop, not an isolated charger standing alone in a parking lot.
A 60 kW DC fast charger running at good utilization can add up to meaningful monthly revenue, but the real number on your property depends on which interchange you are near, your charging price, electricity cost, demand charges and nearby competition.
We are not going to quote you a fixed monthly income figure without seeing your site. What MSEB Power can do is walk your property, look at the numbers with you, and give you an honest read on whether it makes sense before you invest.
The Samruddhi Mahamarg is one of Maharashtra's biggest infrastructure projects, and it only became fully operational in June 2025, which means traffic on it is still building up toward its long-term levels. It also connects into Nagpur, itself a major logistics hub where NH44, NH53 and NH47 meet, adding even more reach to this corridor.
More electric vehicles are entering both personal and commercial fleets on this route every year, and a property near any interchange that plans for charging infrastructure now is well placed to serve that demand as it grows.
The expressway's starting point, and a major logistics hub where NH44, NH53 and NH47 all meet.
Home to Sevagram Ashram, drawing steady heritage and educational visitor traffic.
A major industrial town known for its steel and agro-processing units.
A major city interchange right next to the UNESCO World Heritage Ellora Caves.
One of India's most visited pilgrimage destinations, with year-round visitor traffic.
A large MIDC industrial area feeding directly into Nashik, Maharashtra's wine capital.
Since the expressway is access-controlled, each interchange below is where local traffic gets on and off, and where a connector-road business can capture that traffic. Here is the full list, Nagpur to Bhiwandi, with what each one connects to and where a charging station could fit.
